The waiver

Every adult who enters signs one.

Whether or not you skate. Sign it before you arrive and you walk straight in instead of filling in a form at the window. We check waivers against photo ID.

Bring a valid state ID for 16-and-up sessions.

Our story

Fifty years on
the same floor

Semoran Skateway opened in 1978 and has been doing the same thing on the same floor ever since: putting Central Florida families on eight wheels. The street address on our old flyers reads differently, but the building has never moved.

The phone number has not changed. Neither has the logo — the wordmark at the top of this page is the one printed on flyers we were mailing out fifty years ago. The floor is still maple.

What has changed is who is on it. The kids who learned here in the eighties bring their own kids now, and a fair few of them still remember exactly which corner of the floor was theirs.

Questions parents ask

How much is it, and what is included?
Admission is per session and skate rental is separate — $3 for quads, $4 for inlines. The LRN 2 SK8 class is the exception: its $11 covers rental, the class and the session straight after. All session prices are on the skating times page.
Can I drop my kid off?
Yes. There is one way in and one way out, past the admission window, so nobody wanders off. Staff are on skates on the floor every session, not behind a counter.
Do I have to skate if I come in?

No, as long as you are a non-skating parent or adult chaperone. Parents and adult chaperones who are not skating may enter at no charge, but you still need to sign the waiver.

All guests age 17 or younger must pay admission to enter the building, whether they plan to skate or not. Skate rental is also required unless they bring their own approved skates.

Friday Super Session is different: all guests age 17 or younger must skate, and must have skates on their feet while in the building.

What are the 16-and-up nights?
Rhythm Night and Adult Skate are for skaters aged sixteen and over, and we check a valid state ID at the door. Old School Jamz is all ages.
Can we bring our own skates?
Yes, as long as they are indoor skates in good repair. Skates may not have plastic toe stops or protruding axles. We check all skates at the door, so if you are not sure, bring them by the pro shop first.
Is there food?
A full snack bar, open every session.

Still got a question?

Easiest is to call during office hours. If it is about a party or a group booking, mention that and we will put you through to the right person.
